Casa Pasionista is a home for adults in the terminal phases of AIDS, where residents are able to live out the last days of their lives in a safe environment that provides them as much comfort and relief as possible.
A group of American Passionist priests founded Casa Pasionista in 1991. It is the only facility of its kind in Honduras. Casa Pasionista is especially unique because AIDS patients can bring their children when they come to live here. The kids are integrated into the Ranch homes and remain part of the NPH family when the parent passes away. Parents are assured that after their death their children will continue to grow and prosper while living and attending school at the Ranch.
Only adults are accepted to live at Casa Pasionista. With adequate treatments provided by Casa Pasionista and antiretrovirals provided by NPH and the Global Fund, we hope to prolong the quality of life for the family members . Our main goal is to keep the family together for as long as possible.
