Casa Eva is home to up to ten elderly abuelos, or grandparents, here at Rancho Santa Fe. The home was founded in 1992 and named in honor of Eve Stockton, a long term friend and supporter of Father Wasson and the NPH children. The idea behind the project is to provide a home for needy elderly individuals, and, at the same time give our children exposure to the older generation.
The abuelos, much like the children, have suffered abuse, neglect and abandonment before joining our family. They act as grandparents to our children. Meanwhile, our children surround their grandparents with youthful energy and vitality. Our kids routinely visit Casa Eva to participate in activities like reading, praying, playing games and birthday parties.
