Sixteen young adults celebrate their 15th birthday.
September 12, 2012 - Nicaragua
In Nicaragua, as in many other countries in Latin America, reaching 15 years of age is a big step. It is considered a point of change, from being a child to growing into an adult.
On August 31st, Casa Padre Wasson chose this day to celebrate this special event.
The quinceañeros with the Directors.
At 5 a.m. the caregivers, with the directors and the volunteers prepared the dinning hall for the celebration, with pink and white decorations.
At 3 p.m. the festivities began with a special mass dedicated to the quinceañeros.
After mass, the party began and the quinceañeros danced with their godfathers and godmothers. Then the entire NPH family had a delicious dinner with typical Nicaraguan food (rice and beans, fried plantains and meat).
After enjoying dinner we continued the evening with the cutting of the cakes and all the quinceañeros blew out the candles. Eventually the night proceeded with dancing and music.
We would like to congratulate these quinceañeros, wishing them a great future full of happiness and opportunities: Rosi Isela, Noremi, Emy, Nachali, Maria Magdalena, Reina, Karina, Valeria, Tatiana, Flor Isela, Marjurie, Erika, Enrique, Heymin, Jerry and Tyson.
Good luck and god bless.
