Position Description:
Sponsorship coordinators at NPH are responsible for managing our child sponsorship program, in which international donors support NPH's mission through sponsorship. Sponsorship coordinators act as liaisons between the NPH service countries and the international fundraising offices which recruit sponsors, known as "godparents" in NPH. The main responsibilities of this position include updating sponsorship data bases, taking photos and videos of beneficiaries, translating letters between sponsors and their "godchildren," and sorting and organizing in-kind donations. In some countries, the volunteer sponsorship coordinator will work as an assistant to a local employee, whereas in others the volunteer works as the only sponsorship coordinator.
Position Requirements:
- Qualified candidates have professional or academic experience in administration or related fields.
- Strong candidates have superb writing skills and excellent digital competencies.
- Bilingual candidates (English and Spanish) are preferred for this position.
- Successful volunteers at NPH have strong leadership skills, are resilient and flexible, and work well in teams.
Language Requirements:
Strong Spanish language skills are critical for success as a volunteer with NPH. NPH tests Spanish language skills of candidates invited for an interview. Applicants who do not have an adequate level of Spanish will be required to attend immersion school prior to beginning service with NPH at their own expense.
Age Requirements:
NPH accepts volunteers at least 21 years of age or older.
