“My constant and continued involvement with NPH has helped me realize my duty to my family.”

Jean François Seïde, Director, Hermano mayor

Jean François is an hermano mayor, a graduate of the NPH philosophy. Jean Francois came to NPH at age 5 with his brother, age 6, both orphans. After the terrible 2010 Haiti earthquake, he worked day and night to help start the Father Wasson Angels of Light program, a quick response effort that helped 2,500 children affected by the earthquake. He was soon chosen to participate in the first cohort of the NPHI Seattle Leadership Institute. Later, he was awarded the Molly Hightower Memorial Scholarship and attended the University of Portland. Based in Haiti, Jean François is a global ambassador who speaks on behalf of NPH at fundraising events in the U.S. and Europe.
