Always good news for Monday! During the week at NPH Guatemala our boys and girls shared in a different way with each other, through basketball training, they were able to develop their physical and emotional development, enhance their sports skills, as well as teamwork.

"Wilmer" is a play based on the inspiring story tr

"Wilmer" is a play based on the inspiring story traced by Wilmer Arias, one of our pequeños at NPH Guatemala, written by Matthew Callans, a former volunteer at NPH. "It was one of Wilmer's dreams to share his story with others in a way that will encourage them to find their purpose in life. Wilmer was my brother, friend and teacher. I am honored to play a role in helping his legacy live on," Callans said.

Wilmer was a young Guatemalan boy who suffered a traumatic accident as a child that left him paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of his life. After spending his teenage years angry and confused by his circumstances, he experienced a complete transformation when he realized the power of the mind. “Wilmer” es una obra basada en la inspiradora historia que trazó Wilmer Arias uno de nuestros pequeños en NPH Guatemala escrita por Matthew Callans, ex voluntario en NPH.

In the NPH family we love to promote all the stories that go beyond the everyday, besides being faithful companions in the search for a higher place in the world for our boys and girls. On this occasion we would like to share the testimony of Luisa, a girl from NPH Honduras who is "breaking the mold" by entering the technical welding workshop.

"I love this kind of work. I have always done it. I know I'm a little different from the other girls my age, but I'm okay with that. Someday I'd like to do welding in my own home and maybe have my own shop. Very few girls do this course, but I really wanted to do it. En la familia NPH nos encanta promover todas las historias que traspasan lo cotidiano, además de ser fieles acompañantes en la búsqueda de un lugar alto en el mundo para nuestros niños y niñas. En esta ocasión queremos compartir el testimonio de Luisa una chica de NPH Honduras que está “rompiendo moldes” ingresando al taller de soldadura técnica.

“Me encanta este tipo de trabajo. Siempre lo he hecho. Sé que soy un poco diferente a las otras chicas de mi edad, pero estoy bien con eso. Algún día me gustaría hacer soldadura en mi propia casa y tal vez tener mi propio taller. Muy pocas chicas hacen este curso, pero yo tenía muchas ganas de hacerlo. Caitlyn Wallace, tells us about her experience within NPH Bolivia and how she had to go from being a volunteer to a teacher in a community school, where she taught English to 140 students, 40 of them belonging to NPH and the remaining 100 to the town of San Ignacio.

Caitlyn Wallace, nos cuenta su experiencia dentro de NPH Bolivia y de cómo tuvo que pasar de ser voluntaria a profesora de una escuela de la comunidad, donde enseñó inglés a 140 alumnos, 40 de ellos pertenecían a NPH y los 100 restantes a la localidad de San Ignacio.

“Me esfuercé por llevar las visiones de amor y compartir del Padre Wasson no solo a nuestros niños en NPH, sino a cada uno de mis estudiantes y la comunidad de la que poco a poco me convertí parte”.
