Mission Statement

Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, inspired by Christian values, strives to create a loving and safe family environment for vulnerable children living in extreme conditions. Through comprehensive education, healthcare and spiritual formation, we give the children the opportunity to develop their potential, shaping better futures for themselves, their families and their communities.


Information

Thank you very much for your interest in volunteering with Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH). Our volunteer program is full of opportunities and we invite people of all backgrounds who have an open heart and mind and the desire to be of service to the NPH community. This application should be completed in full, answering all of the questions and attaching all of the documents requested. Consideration of your application will be given only when it is complete.

Once you submit your application a staff member should contact you within two weeks to inform you if you qualify to continue with the next phase of the application process. If you do not hear from us within two weeks, please contact your local fundraising office or our International Volunteer Coordinator.

Application Deadlines

- January 1st to begin service in July
- July 1st to begin service in January

We prefer to receive applications by these deadlines, but we often have openings after the deadlines have passed. Please submit your application even if you have missed the deadline.

    NPH works in partnership with local child welfare NPH works in partnership with local child welfare government systems to ensure either a protective state (living at an NPH home temporarily or permanently) or family strengthening (family reintegration with parenting support). Our goal is finding the best solution for each individual child and their family.

Across Latin America and the Caribbean, millions of disadvantaged children and youths are in need of basic services. The facts and numbers can be overwhelming but through the help of our international community of donors, volunteers, and staff, NPH is making a positive difference and breaking the cycle of poverty.

At NPH, our dedicated staff of childhood professionals help young women to be their best - to dream big dreams, embrace who they are, and grow both their voice and their person. We are so proud of the hundreds of girls and young women who are such an important part of our family!
    Powerful girls can become powerful leaders! Chicas Powerful girls can become powerful leaders! Chicas Poderosas - 'Powerful Girls' - is a youth group for young women present in all of our country programs, that provides support, community, and a space for our girls to grow into leaders in their homes.
