This project aims to provide a comprehensive Year of Service Program for our teens who have just finished their secondary school.
The year of service at NPH is an essential year for all of our young people once they have completed high school. Their professional and personal attributes help assign the area of the home they will serve throughout the year, while the youth also define a vocational plan for themselves.
In 2017, we wish to offer our young people more opportunities. For youth older than 18, driving lessons are one way of building their skills to become more independent and can lead to better success in finding jobs. We have identified 21 young adults who could benefit from this project from 2017 to 2019.
We would also like to see our entire Year of Service group benefit from English lessons, which could also lead to better job opportunity in their futures. We will have 17 youths enrolled in English classes for the next three years. A teacher living in our town offers his services as a volunteer to teach our children English without a fee, but we still need to provide each student with resources: a notebook and book.
Having a volunteer who lives nearby will give our children a great opportunity to learn English with a consistent teacher.
Help us boost our vocational program and give more opportunities to our youth!
