The following is the story of Fabiola, a 17-year-old young woman who grew up in the NPH family. She just graduated this past June from high school! September 5, 2017 - Dominican Republic

Fabiola is a bright child who describes herself as a mediocre student, but I would never even think of calling her mediocre. While chatting with Fabiola I asked her a series of questions about her dreams for the future.
Fabiola wants to study at Harvard, she loves her Social Studies class, and one day dreams of being a flight attendant so she can see the world. I asked Fabiola to write a short autobiography of her time here at NPH. This is what she shared with us.
"My name is Fabiola, and I am 17 years old. Before coming to live in NPH I lived with my dad. I entered NPH when I was 5, and I only remember that I lacked the support I needed to get an education. When I was in NPH I started my studies. I have just completed my last year in high school. I like to have fun in school, sometimes too much fun!, but I also do my homework and schoolwork. My favorite class is Social Studies, and when I am older I would like to be a flight attendant so I can fly and visit all around the world to find what makes me happiest."
Fabiola is sweet, and she loves to joke around. She is currently completing her year of service, and is hoping to attend university. She is a free spirit, loves to draw and listen to music. She has also decided to 'let the past rest', and keeps on looking forward, because the present is the only thing we have control over and the present helps determine the future. Fabiola is wonderfully fun, joyous and knows what she wants in life. She is not afraid to pursue her dreams. Fabiola demonstrates the power an education brings, and we here at NPH hope to help her realize her dreams!
